ERNEST GIMSON - 1864-1919
The Greatest of the English Artist-Craftsmen

Ernest Gimson and the Cotswold Group of Craftsmen, that include Ernest & Sidney Barnsley, Peter Waals,
Norman Jewson, Alfred and Norman Bucknell, provide much of the inspiration for my work.
Together with Edward Barnsley, Alfred and Louise Powell, Grace Barnsley, Gordon Russell,
Arthur Romney Green, Stanley Webb Davis, Eric Sharpe and Arthur Simpson,
they all provide me with a never ending source of inspiration.

Fine examples of their work can be seen at Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum, which is very well worth
visiting and also on their website, see my links page. There is also a fine collection in Leicester, they have
an excellent website devoted to Ernest Gimson, and at Rodmarton Manor.
