William Arthur Smith Benson Ceiling Light.

Handmade polished copper & brass flower-form reflector light fitting, with bud shaped bulb holders.
Supplied complete with period type Thomas Edison multi-loop filament bulbs.

Fixes directly to the ceiling which can be useful for rooms with low head height.

Designed circa 1895.

No 879s in WAS Benson's original trade catalogue.

Size: 16” diameter x 5" high.

I have just supplied the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow, London

with four replicas of this particular WAS Benson design light fitting for their major redevelopement

due to reopen early August 2012.
